pub struct Evm<'a, EXT, DB: Database> {
    pub context: Context<EXT, DB>,
    pub handler: Handler<'a, Context<EXT, DB>, EXT, DB>,
}
Expand description

EVM instance containing both internal EVM context and external context and the handler that dictates the logic of EVM (or hardfork specification).

Fields§

§context: Context<EXT, DB>

Context of execution, containing both EVM and external context.

§handler: Handler<'a, Context<EXT, DB>, EXT, DB>

Handler is a component of the of EVM that contains all the logic. Handler contains specification id and it different depending on the specified fork.

Implementations§

source§

impl<EXT, DB: Database + DatabaseCommit> Evm<'_, EXT, DB>

source

pub fn transact_commit( &mut self ) -> Result<ExecutionResult, EVMError<DB::Error>>

Commit the changes to the database.

source§

impl<'a> Evm<'a, (), EmptyDB>

source

pub fn builder() -> EvmBuilder<'a, SetGenericStage, (), EmptyDB>

Returns evm builder with empty database and empty external context.

source§

impl<'a, EXT, DB: Database> Evm<'a, EXT, DB>

source

pub fn new( context: Context<EXT, DB>, handler: Handler<'a, Context<EXT, DB>, EXT, DB> ) -> Evm<'a, EXT, DB>

Create new EVM.

source

pub fn modify(self) -> EvmBuilder<'a, HandlerStage, EXT, DB>

Allow for evm setting to be modified by feeding current evm into the builder for modifications.

source

pub fn run_the_loop( &mut self, first_frame: Frame ) -> Result<FrameResult, EVMError<DB::Error>>

Runs main call loop.

source§

impl<EXT, DB: Database> Evm<'_, EXT, DB>

source

pub fn spec_id(&self) -> SpecId

Returns specification (hardfork) that the EVM is instanced with.

SpecId depends on the handler.

source

pub fn preverify_transaction(&mut self) -> Result<(), EVMError<DB::Error>>

Pre verify transaction by checking Environment, initial gas spend and if caller has enough balance to pay for the gas.

source

pub fn transact_preverified(&mut self) -> EVMResult<DB::Error>

Transact pre-verified transaction

This function will not validate the transaction.

source

pub fn transact(&mut self) -> EVMResult<DB::Error>

Transact transaction

This function will validate the transaction.

source

pub fn handler_cfg(&self) -> &HandlerCfg

Returns the reference of handler configuration

source

pub fn cfg(&self) -> &CfgEnv

Returns the reference of Env configuration

source

pub fn modify_spec_id(&mut self, spec_id: SpecId)

Modify spec id, this will create new EVM that matches this spec id.

source

pub fn into_context(self) -> Context<EXT, DB>

Returns internal database and external struct.

source

pub fn into_db_and_env_with_handler_cfg(self) -> (DB, EnvWithHandlerCfg)
